Making this blog is proving to be a lot harder than I anticipated.
Already I'm censuring myself when it comes to spending... Every impulse purchase is second guessed. I am stopping buying things because I know I'll have to confess to having spent money on them later on here. You have no idea how much I resent having to be mindful of every penny.
"That's the point, you twerp!!!" I hear you shout.
I must admit I thought about stopping the whole thing because it's too much bloody effort, but I'm not going to give in that easily.
So I have a confession or two to make...
Here goes.
FRIDAY:
Friday lunchtime there was what we call a 'fuddle' at work, which basically means people bring things in or put money together to pay for food to have together for a party. I put £3 in to fetch some food. Plus £3 for a collection (as someone was leaving, nice girl actually, I shall miss her...)
I paid 2 months' worth of Lottery syndicate (£6.00)
Then I went to my brother's house and he stopped off at the Co-op so I could pick up a bottle of wine for my sister-in-law and I to drink while he went off to do his usual Friday night Boy's Brigade stuff. While there I also picked up some toddler-friendly chocolate treats for my gorgeous nephew, I've lost the receipt so I'm going to check my bank online and see how much came out... brb...Hmmm, it's not cleared yet, so I don't know, but I will estimate £10.50, because I'm really not sure.
I bought an inflated priced bottle of Coke at the local shop for £2.00

SATURDAY:
Today I've managed to spend a lot of money again. I decided I wasn't going to feel bad about it. What I hadn't factored into the equation was how stressful this process might be. I don't want to stop enjoying the nice things I get to do because I'm worried on how they'll impact on this frigging budget.
So anyway, I went to the local ceramic painting shop, Funky Pots to paint a birth plate for one of my friends whose daughter's just had a baby.
I think it came out fairly well;
I have edited the image so the baby's name doesn't show...
My bill for this was £12.85
I went to Asda on the way back and spent £16.30 on a few bits of food and household stuff.
I don't intend to spend any more money today... Unless I can't resist a kebab later. We'll see. I'm making no promises.
