I have £300 per month left after bills.
There are some ideas for a budget floating right now...
BUDGET A:
A budget of £35-£40 per week.
£40 a month 'Necessities' for items such as toiletries, household items etc. because at the start of the month I always have to top up on things I've run out of.
5 x 35 = £175 5 x 40 = £200
1 x 40 = £40
Meaning I have a budget of £240 per month.
It leaves me £60 to be flexible with. This can be spent on takeaways/treats/clothes/entertainment/gifts etc. I should be trying to save from this 'slush fund'
IF I manage to stay within the budget then any excess goes into an online saver.
BUDGET B:
A flat budget of £60 per week, everything has to come out of it. No 'slush fund', no 'Necessities' budget, simply get £60 out per week and manage. When it's gone, it's gone.
5 x 60 = £300
Again, IF I manage to stay within the budget then any excess goes into an online saver.
BUDGET C:
A budget of £50 per week. Everything to come out of it, but with a £50 excess.
5 x £50 = £250
1 x £50 = £50 to be flexible with - This can be spent on takeaways/treats/clothes/entertainment/gifts etc.
Once again, IF I manage to stay within the budget then any excess goes into an online saver.
